Mini PCs are suitable as digital signage players

What is digital signage? It refers to all screen display systems, be it digital room signage, customer information of all kinds or effective advertising across a huge video wall. A digital signage installation consists of at least one screen, a player and the software to control the displayed content.

The tasks of the digital signage player

The digital signage player provides the content for the displays. It is usually connected to the Internet and receives new content and new playback schedules from a central workstation. In most cases, the player is to be placed invisibly near the display. The compact dimensions of mini PCs meet this requirement. It is recommended to use a full Windows system for this purpose so that the player can also handle moving 4K content.
